Camille Wiltz

ABOUT Camille

Camille is a first generation Texan, based in Austin as a movement artist, dance educator, and film fanatic. She holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in Dance and Arts Management and Administration. Her ongoing love affair with dance started at age three, and she has since taken on her own journey of providing and nurturing brave spaces for others to discover their own movement language. She currently dances with TY&CO and Allysen Hooks Projects.

When Dancing

Rigorous and self-nurturing, callousness and tenderness, surrender and resistance are contradictions guiding Camille’s movement on the cellular level. She expands when she admires the beauty in others without questioning the sincerity of her own. She is wiggling but grounded, she is bubbling but focused. She is a downward dog in a monochrome outfit.

When Not Dancing

Camille is often at the movie theater, crocheting, frying an egg, drinking black coffee, or shoving a bookmark in the middle of a novel to answer a friend’s phone call. She persistently falls in love with daily pleasures and hungers for deeper connection to herself and to others.
