ABOUT Jeffrey

Jeffrey is a queer dance artist, writer, and comedian living in Philadelphia. After 15 years of dancing in New York City, they reside in Fishtown with their 4-year-old rescue pup, Newton Apollo. After graduating from the Juilliard School, Jeffrey has had the opportunity to dance with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, Company XIV, and Third Rail Projects. Most recently choreographed, wrote, and performed a solo comedy-ballet at The 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Jeffrey is also a Social Media Manager at a Public Health Marketing Agency.

When Dancing

To dance is to live. Groove and exploration allow me to experience life and turn it into something special. Dance is such a flexible expression that I can be whatever I want at that moment in my movement. I feel unstoppable when I dance, and I love being able to dance with others. Whether it's a class, the club, or waiting for the bus, I am ALWAYS down for a 5, 6, 7, 8.

When Not Dancing

You can usually find me hanging out with my dog, trying a new restaurant, dissecting movies, singing loudly at a concert, or being mesmerized by a drag show. I'm a big reader and am a member of the Queer Book Club of Philadelphia. I love anything sci-fi or fantasy. For inquiring minds, my favorite book series is The Wheel of Time, and my favorite anime is Sailor Moon. I also love to bowl, lose at trivia, watch my friends succeed, play pool, go on adventures, nap, and work out.
